- Description: The peripheral equipment present at MDL must connect to the endoscopes. These peripherals are currently set up on the endoscopes of Olympus. There is thus a 'strict necessity' to give the assignment to Olympus. The endoscopes of other entrepreneurs are among thegiven circumstances cannot be characterized as 'reasonable alternative or substitute'. This is because it is technically impossible to attach another scoop to the present peripherals. In addition, the peripheral equipment has recently been replaced and is not yet due for replacement. If there is anyIt would be chosen to replace those peripherals, then that would not be beneficial for the UMCG economically.
