• Purpose of the Request: The Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking information on comprehensive Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) research tools to provide independent third-party analysis on the ESG factors towards investment process.The research tools will impact on the OIM-s investment performance and processes and improve systematic risk intelligence gathering for compliance and measure the sustainability of the Fund-s assets, and will be used for investment decisions and related reports and other communications with the various stakeholders such as the Fund-s governing bodies and participants and beneficiaries of the Fund.OIM expects that an independent third party, ESG research tools, will enable OIM to make better informed investment decisions as well as contribute to the objectives of the UN as a whole, including the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Overview of the UNJSPF:The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (“UNJSPF” or “the Fund”) was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations ("UN") to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for the staff of the UN and other international intergovernmental organizations admitted to membership in the Fund.
