- BackgroundPortable, accurate and precise height/length measurement tools are needed to support regular UNICEF programming as well as anthropometric data collection in the field. This includes surveys such as Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) as well as child growth monitoring, management of wasting (acute malnutrition) and core paediatric care activities; all in support of UNICEF nutrition and health programmes. Previous reviews of household survey data quality have shown that the current techniques and devices used to measure height and length of infants, children and adults may not produce accurate results.Purpose of this REoIUNICEF is seeking expressions of interest from qualified manufacturers or solution providers for the supply of an innovative "3-in-1 tool" for child anthropometric measurement. This REoI is issued to identify capable partners for potential procurement collaboration in line with the Target Product Profile (TPP): for Tools for Anthropometric Tools (see attached). Ideally, solutions already on the market are discovered, and the purpose of the REoI is to collect detailed information on where and how the product is able to meet the requirements listed in the TPP.
