Description: The support from the manufacturer Philips for the HeartStart XL Defibrillators present in the UMCG. Some of the devices have already been replaced by the Philips Efficia DFM100, but not all. The delivery of the required batteries stopped in March 2020. TheCapacity of the batteries has declined so much that there may be failure during a resuscitation. to be replaced the End of Life before the end of 2022. With a European tender, there is a risk that after award with two differentBrands must be worked and that in addition to the devices, different types of disposables must be purchased and applied. All healthcare professionals must then be trained in applying different methods. Given the high course of employees, this is not 100% covering.This means that the healthcare professional in a very acute life -threatening situation can be confronted with a course of action that may be unknown.The proposed choice of procedure to prior to the market in order to give stakeholders the opportunity to make any objections known.
