Description: The Amsterdam Medical Center (AMC) and VU Medical Center (VUmc) intend to grant the assignment for expansion of the current Peoplesoft HR platform to Oracle Nederland BV, and on the basis of the following considerations: Peoplesoft has been running for a long time and satisfactorilyat the VUmc location. With a view to the upcoming merger between the two hospitals, the use of a common HR system is of great importance. After careful assessment between applications in use and the purchase of a completely new software solution, it was decided to be peoplesoftFor the time being as the core system and the employees of the AMC location to add to this. By choosing a system that has already been fully implemented, the change for employees who are going to work with a new system will limit itself to one of the both hospitals. In additionThe previous customized adjustments in Peoplesoft are reused and his necessary additional investments are limited. In the current VUmc contract (9000x licenses), 25% overcapacity is included that will be used for AMC. The remaining (5000x) licenses must therefore be purchased.Because of the aforementioned overcapacity, this choice seems to be financially the cheapest. The existing platform runs on its own (virtual) servers and is already fully integrated with related systems, such as Payroll. This makes the expansion for AMC technically less drastic. On locationIn recent years, VUmc has been a specialized team of its own people trained for management and maintenance of this platform.
