- Description: The technology of sending the electricity is one of our most important research interests regarding DBS in relation to movement disorders. Every patient who is treated according to our protocols is part of the research conducted by the AMC. The characteristicFrom 'multiple independent current control' MICC (Multiple Independent Current Control), technologically offers the most advanced form for supplying 'steering' current in DBS, whereby the volume of the activated tissue can best be changed or adapted to the needs ofthe individual patient. Boston Scientific is currently the only supplier who can deliver to the AMC regarding MICC. The AMC intends to award to Boston Scientific starting a contract for 3 years + 1 option year so that the investigation can be completedbecome.
